Certification is valid for three years. Maintaining your understanding of current process safety practices by attending training courses and gaining on-going relevant work experience are important aspects for a CPSS^®. Therefore, recertification requirements for CPSS^® are as follows:

• Successful completion within the last three years of applicable classroom training for a minimum of three days.

• Two professional references from supervisor / manager / peer who can attest to work experience and professional ethics.
